Update: Our awesome landlord, Jerry, has his maintenance guy, getting quotes as well as working on the space, it’s going to be really special for sure… Studio “A” is almost 1,000 sq foot of space the control room is over 100 square feet and we have a separate 80 square foot Studio “B”, for use as a vocal isolation booth, as well as a podcasting studio, spoken word artist, -etc.
On top of all our equipment sitting in air-conditioned storage, new studio equipment is arriving almost every day. We now have four different types of rack-mounted analog compressors that have just arrived in the last few weeks, also an amazing bulletproof Peavey DECA 1200 power amp, and several Shure SM57 instrument mics, MXL 550 and 551, 900 and 991 mics, Sterling SP150, and SP130 mics, a couple of different type Blue mics, including a vintage “Baby Bottle” mic and a really cool custom low-pass effects mic “hand made” from a vintage telephone handset with custom circuitry, it’s even hand-signed, how cool is that?. Of course, we also have an array of SM 58 as well as SM58 type omni-direction mics as well.
But, the real news is………. we have decided to replace the heart of the new recording studio with a 2010’s Soundcraft GB4 32 channel analog recording console. This jewel came from a church so it was treated well, used only a couple times per week. And NOT by some drunk types drinking beer, smoking pot, and spilling beer on it. We are really excited to receive this and we are certain that you will also love the warm sound it produces.
Stay tuned……..
Looking forward to seeing the place tonight. The buzz is that you have an awesome studio
If you find music fun or essential to your well being, check out this place. Besides the equipment and instruments you will interesting collectables. The owner says you can get a discount if you can bring in a Pez dispenser in it’s original wrapper that he does not have.
